InstaGrammys

Of all the award shows the Grammys are my favorite, and the reason is simple.  It has the most musical performances.  Acceptance speeches can be interesting.  In Memoriam segments always stir up emotions and breed nostalgia.  But musical performances are the most exciting part of any show and provide the most entertainment of any non MTV produced award show.

Since the Grammy Awards have learned that most people would like to see musical acts as opposed to Moby’s acceptance speech for “Best Song Using Recyclables For Instruments ,” the awards have become a much better viewing experience.  Yes there are always performances that are a total snooze like Frank Ocean’s.  And then there are performances that make you want to throw your shoe at the screen like the Bob Marley tribute that included a doo-woping Bruno Mars in a over-sized fedora.  But more often than not they are at least decent and are sometimes memorable like the Levon Helm tribute.

This year though there was a new element added to the Grammys that made them entertaining, Instagram.  In the last year the photo social media app has taken off and celebrities have taken to it the same way they did Twitter which is a wonderful thing for the general public.  So below I collected some of the best Instagram photos from the Grammys.  Enjoy and start praying that next year Prince will be on Instagram blasting out photos of his outrageous night.
